Do you fancy some retail therapy?
At a more conventional level, the Iceland Motopark is introducing retail and commercial opportunities to the community, enhancing not only the tourism offering but also servicing the regional demand.
The Retail Park will operate as a Factory outlet and allow visitors to enjoy the luxury of shopping for designer clothing and accessories.
The Retail area will be a covered concourse area within the Hotel and conferencing zone and will be a place for a café culture to relax whilst shopping. The area will also include a permanent tourist office to advise visitors of other places on the site to visit and other local attractions.
Architects HOK Sport, based in London, have developed schemes for the Hotel and Retail area which will create a landmark building for the site, visible from the Reykjansbraut highway and road to the Blue Lagoon.
Access to the Retail centre will be made easily available from the Grindavik road but also from the western side of the site as a road from the commercial district will run past this part of the site.
