The Conference Centre and hotel complex design is iconic and uniquely Icelandic and will become a landmark for the country; it will form the focus of development on the North East corner and will introduce an architectural theme

for many of the motorsport building architecture and some of the residential apartment blocks.

The conferencing facilities and restaurants will provide exceptional views of the most important part of the motorsport offering and serve as VIP hospitality for major events while also providing a much needed international convention, conferencing, exhibition and major event venue to the region for other times in the year.

The Centre will provide the nucleus to an additional entertainment destination for Reykjanesbæ, linking the conference, restaurant, bars, cinemas, health club, residential, hotel, retail and tourism offerings in an urban, modern, comfortable and sophisticated environment.

Iceland currently attracts around 400,000 visitors a year and this is expected to increase to over one million by the year 2015. With top tourist attractions including the Blue Lagoon, situated only 7km from the Iceland MotoPark, the development is ideally placed on the main highway to Reykjavik on the junction to Grindavik and the Iceland MotoPark will become a key tourist attraction.

A tourist office will be built in the public concourse between the conference centre / hotel complex and the retail park to showcase other nearby attractions and to provide information to the local and tourism public.
